While training, Yue convinces Nodoka that they should try a Red String of Fate spell on Nodoka, a spell which should just show them the person with whom Nodoka shares a Red String of Fate. Unfortunately, this spell doesn\'t just read one\'s fate connection, but actually - and literally - ties their hands together.
